Research shows the most important predictor of school success and high school graduation is reading proficiency by Grade 3.

Pathways to Potential

United Way Regina has committed to a bold 10-year plan to reach a city-wide goal: By 2035, all students in Regina will be reading at grade level by the end of Grade 3. This goal benefits students as they move into high school and beyond to become contributing members of our Regina community and society.

Recognizing that this goal cannot be reached alone, we are supporting United Way Regina to build momentum and action to maximize investments in projects that move us closer to this goal. United Way Regina is investing all of their funding into kids. Every dollar donated to United Way Regina will be used to move toward this single goal of all students reading at grade level by the end of Grade 3.

Regina Catholic School Division students have benefitted from the work of the Regina United Way for many years. Kinder Readiness Kits, book vending machines, and Summer Success Camps are just a few ways United Way Regina and RCSD have worked together to support reading in the past, and we are excited to continue working together to provide opportunities for children without overlapping services.

This is why Regina Catholic Schools supports United Way Regina with an annual fundraising campaign.
