November Board Update
Invitation
Our accessible new division office near the airport is hosting two big events again this fall, and you’re invited to join us. The Inclusion Fair is on Monday, November 9, 4:00-8:00 PM, and will bring together school and community resources to support students and families with intensive needs. Also back by popular demand is the RCSD Indigenous Market on Wednesday, December 16, 4:00 – 8:00 PM. That’s your chance to shop and admire crafts, beading, artwork and more, all created by local Indigenous artists. Both events are at our Catholic Education Centre at 2550 Sandra Schmirler Way, and are open to the public.
All Saints & All Souls
November brings many opportunities for prayer and reflection. All Saints Day and All Souls Day begin the month, inviting us to remember those who have gone before us, and ask God to grant eternal rest to our loved ones. Then we lift up in prayer all those who sacrificed their time and lives in service to others in the protection of our communities and country as we observe Indigenous Veterans Day and Remembrance Day. Throughout the month, we keep our Holy Father, Pope Leo, in our prayers as he faces his health challenges, and pray for the health and well-being of our communities as we head into the winter months.
Advent
Preparations for the Christmas season begin with Advent starting on November 29. Thank you in advance for your support for Advent projects within Regina Catholic Schools, including Masses and liturgies, collections and celebrations.
Did You Know?
Listening is important. When we asked for insight, our communities shared their thoughts on the direction RCSD should take and where we should continue to build on our strengths. Six clear areas of focus emerged from that feedback: strengthening our Catholic identity, inspiring excellence in learning, fostering belonging and well-being, advancing Truth & Reconciliation, supporting student success, and building strong partnerships. These six areas form our strategic priorities for the next three years. You can learn more about our 2026-2027 Strategic Plan here.
