Thank you for the gift of today.

Today we remember the tragic day of September 11th and the many people who lost their lives at the World Trade Center in New York City.

We pray for all the brave helpers - the firefighters, police officers. and everyday heroes - who showed us how to be kind and care for others when things were very scary.

Dear Jesus, please hold the families who are still mourning in the warmth of Your loving arms. Help us to always choose love over anger, and teach us to be peacemakers in our homes, our schools, and our world.

Send Your angels to watch over us and guide us to be bright lights of hope and kindness. Amen.
