October is a month to build breast cancer awareness and to pay tribute to those affected by this disease.

Breast cancer continues to be the most common cancer diagnosis in Canadian women over the age of 20.

We start our prayer by giving thanks for our good health. Any day we can get out of bed ourselves, go to work or school and not have to stay at home because we are sick is a blessing! 

We pray today for all those who are battling breast cancer and any other type of cancer. We also pray for all those who have lost a loved one to cancer.

We pray, Lord, for the wisdom to take good care of ourselves - to eat healthy foods, to exercise regularly, and to get to the doctor for a regular check-up.

As we learned yesterday, October is the month of the Holy Rosary. Please join me in the Hail Mary.
