Almost a month ago, we had our Orange Shirt Day Liturgy. It was never intended to only be a single day where we learn more about the terrible things that happened to Indigenous people.

Our Regina Catholic School Division is committed to taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation with Indigenous people. Today, we once again take a few moments to work on our journey towards healing relationships.

Please join me in praying our Truth & Reconciliation Prayer.

O God, Great Spirit and Creator,
We thank you for your gifts that surround us.
For the gift of the land that gives us food, shelter and water.
For the gift of the sun, moon and stars.

We acknowledge our history and the great injustice to Indigenous peoples.
Help us to forgive one another, as you forgive each of us.
Teach us to respect all cultures.

We pray in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
