God of all goodness,

We gather today as a Catholic school community to celebrate World Food Day.

We thank you for the gifts of food and water that fill our tables each day. You provide for our needs and bless us with your infinite love.

Lord, we remember our sisters and brothers around the world who suffer from hunger and thirst. Open our hearts to their pain. Help us to see your face in every person who does not have food.

Grant us the wisdom to use our resources carefully. Teach us not to waste what others desperately need.

Inspire our school community to find creative and generous ways to support the hungry and the poor. Strengthen our hands to share, our voices to advocate, and our spirits to serve.

May we become instruments of your compassion, bringing hope and bread to a hungry world.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
