Please join me in the sign of our faith. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Today we celebrate St. Teresa of Jesus or St. Teresa of Avila.

Teresa was a very, very strong woman. She was talented, beautiful, outgoing, loving, courageous, and enthusiastic, a truly great person.

In 1970, the Church gave her the title Doctor of the Church.

Let's pray:

Thank you for the gift of today, Lord.
Thank you for all doctors and nurses who take care of the sick.
We pray that we may allow Jesus into our hearts to share his love with all people.
We pray that we always make time to pray so that we grow deeper in love with Jesus, the world and one another.
Jesus - give us a courageous heart like St. Teresa as we try to live out that mission in the world in service to all. Amen.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
